Description
Root & Rain – Handmade Ceramic Olla Watering Pot
Handmade ceramic olla watering pot designed to make watering plants simple, gentle and more efficient.
An olla is a traditional clay irrigation vessel that is buried in the soil near plants. Once filled with water, the unglazed terracotta allows moisture to slowly move through the clay and into the surrounding soil. This provides water directly where plants need it — around their roots.
How to Use This Handmade Ceramic Olla Watering Pot
Simply bury the handmade ceramic olla watering pot in the soil, leaving the opening above the surface so it can be filled with water. Add water through the opening and place the ceramic lid over the top to help keep the reservoir covered.
As the surrounding soil dries, water gradually moves through the porous terracotta into the soil. This makes an olla particularly useful for vegetable gardens, herb gardens, flower beds, raised beds and container gardening.
The Root & Rain Olla is handmade from natural terracotta and includes a ceramic lid. Its simple, earthy appearance blends beautifully into a garden while providing a practical way to water plants at root level.
